Orca World

About

Orca World is a free-roaming, casual adventure game with arcade-like elements.
It focuses on a playful movement system as you navigate through the Mediterranean Sea with a physics-based character design and acrobatic jumping attacks.

You play as Dorca, a majestic orca sea creature which is fed up with the pollution that humans on their big luxurious yachts leave behind in the ocean, and it is up to you to exact revenge on these boats.

Inspiration & Gameplay

Since 2020, a group of orcas in the Mediterranean have been attacking more than 250 boats, posing a threat to navigation. In Orca World, you get to experience the accident from a different perspective: You are the orca! Swim in the ocean and earn points by capsizing the polluting human boats. You earn extra points if you add some stylish moves!

GMTK Game Jam Tie-Ins

In relation to the theme of 'Reversed Roles', Orca World is primarily intended to be a role reversal in the narrative sense of the theme, as the humans are the one's who are being hunted, instead of the orcas.
